I am only worried about your health. You will wake with a headache next morning And I am although tacos at this late hour might be a bad idea for your stomach How about something light? Like rice pudding?
[He's getting dressed by now and looking for the keys of his car.]
Noct As much as I would like that, you have to train with Gladio You will be getting up at 8
I am on my way I will see what I can do. Are there enough ingredients in the fridge? Or should I stop by the store? If you change your mind, rice pudding is always on the table
I already did that on Saturday Remember? Arcade with Prompto until 2am? You have to go to this session otherwise Gladio will get angry with both of us And if the word reaches the council that I am interfering with your training They will strip Gladio away from you and give you to Marshal And you know that negotiating with him is not possible
[His own heart skips a beat at that, chest aching at the thought of being able to have Ignis with him every single night. Of falling asleep curled up against him, of feeling his warmth seep into his very bones.
Never did he feel more safe than when he was in Ignis' (or his father's) presence.]
[ There's a soft click of the door after a few more minutes, signaling that Ignis arrived. He spends a moment to take off his shoes and leave the briefcase in the hallway and heads into Noct's living room, a small smile on his face when he sees him sprawled on the couch. ]
A welcoming committee.
[ After leaving the bag with ingredients for the infamous tacos, he walks over to him and runs a hand through his hair. ]
[Honestly, he could crash out right then and there - but then again, he could pretty much do that at all times. The only thing currently keeping him awake from the promise that Ignis would be there soon.
And the fact that Prompto kept challenging him in King's Knight. But you know, details.]
I was waiting for you.
[It's impossible not to arch up into that touch - just like a cat, honestly - or to not reach up and grasp onto Ignis' hand in an attempt to pull him down.]
But then lets Noctis willingly pull him down. Of course, there some shifting and moving so that he doesn't sit on top of Noct, but once he's comfortable enough, he happily accepts Noctis in his arms.
[He moves easily, sits up long enough for Ignis to make himself comfortable. Before shifting closer, lifting himself up onto his knees to crawl into his lap, straddling it and slinging his arms over his shoulders.]
[ Ignis' hands come up to wrap tightly around Noct's waist, keeping him close against himself. He loves the weight of Noctis' body over his, the warmth that comes with it, and his scent. He's addicted to it, no doubt, and there is no way out of this blissful hell he's in. Slowly, his fingers dance up and down Noct's back, pressing a kiss to Noct's temple.]
[That touch is light and gentle, a soothing ever-present heat that seeps into his flesh and lets him center himself inside it. A soft sound rises up as lips press against his temple, head tilting into it, chasing after more.]
[Well, considering that Noctis dragged him out of the bed in the middle of the night, even Ignis agrees with that statement. He did earn it. And now, he's going to indulge it.]
Quite cuddly tonight...
[It's teasing; Ignis' lips leave a small trail of kisses to Noct's ear then down over his neck.]
[And Ignis' lips could spill forth barbs and complaints just as easily as they were currently providing sweetness and warmth against his skin. He leaned into it, head tilting to the side as if to offer up more of his flesh.]
And you never will, [Ignis murmurs softly,] I love holding you.
[He does. Maybe it's some kind of possessive streak, or maybe just the knowledge that Noct is fine and here, in his embrace. He had stopped wondering a long time ago- it wasn't something any kind of logic would ever be able to explain.]

If I wake up with a headache I guess you'll just have to stick around and take care of me
Iggy. Specs. You're killing me here
I just want three of your tacos
And for you to let me use your lap as a pillow
Is that too much to ask?
no subject
As much as I would like that, you have to train with Gladio
You will be getting up at 8
I am on my way
I will see what I can do. Are there enough ingredients in the fridge? Or should I stop by the store?
If you change your mind, rice pudding is always on the table
no subject
If you stop by the store
Can you get those pastries I like
We can have them for breakfast
no subject
You don't want him to double your training, do you?
You will feel sluggish from so much junk food
I will get them
But I prefer to make you pancakes or omelet for breakfast
no subject
Can't you just
Tell him you need me instead
Just this one time
Please Iggy
I will do anything you want
Even eat rice pudding instead of tacos
no subject
I already did that on Saturday
Remember? Arcade with Prompto until 2am?
You have to go to this session otherwise Gladio will get angry with both of us
And if the word reaches the council that I am interfering with your training
They will strip Gladio away from you and give you to Marshal
And you know that negotiating with him is not possible
1/2
I gotta stop letting Prompto talk me into things
no subject
That's fine
Maybe if I complain enough he'll let me go early
.... You're still coming right?
I was serious about wanting to sleep in your lap
no subject
Is the day I know something is very, very wrong
You are allowed to complain at Gladio, of course.
Do try to evade attacks when he comes swinging after you irritate him.
[The last part... Noct, stop playing with his heart.]
Of course, I'm on my way.
no subject
But we both know that's not gonna happen so what's the point, right?
Good
I sleep better when you're near me
[What was that about not playing with your heart?]
no subject
rather than making them more complicated and therefore harder
Is that an invitation to stay with you every night?
no subject
[His own heart skips a beat at that, chest aching at the thought of being able to have Ignis with him every single night. Of falling asleep curled up against him, of feeling his warmth seep into his very bones.

Yeah
I guess it is
no subject
I promise to stay over whenever I can
[ As much as he wants to indulge Noct, he can't fail on his duties otherwise they'll replace him. And that's out of the question. ]
I am in the elevator. I will see you in a few moments.
no subject
Doors unlocked
[Mostly because he's already sprawled out on the sofa.]
no subject
A welcoming committee.
[ After leaving the bag with ingredients for the infamous tacos, he walks over to him and runs a hand through his hair. ]
Still not sleepy I see.
no subject

Or in his lap. Or anywhere really.]
no subject
Yeah, I'm feeling pretty generous right now.
no subject
You are indeed.
no subject
What can I say? You've earned it.
no subject
Quite cuddly tonight...

I guess I just... wanted to be with you.
no subject
[He does. Maybe it's some kind of possessive streak, or maybe just the knowledge that Noct is fine and here, in his embrace. He had stopped wondering a long time ago- it wasn't something any kind of logic would ever be able to explain.]
no subject
You could do it more often. If you were here every night.
[It wouldn't be that hard to explain why he wanted to keep his advisor close.]
We could do other stuff more often too.
