[Ignis was on a "shopping spree" when his phone reminded him to wake Noctis up. He comes back to the shared room in ten or fifteen minutes, with few things he managed to acquire.
And sighs at the sight of Noct still being in bed. Leaving the groceries aside, he walks over and sits on the edge, hand going through Noct's hair.]
[Noctis wasn't just still asleep - no, he was positively cocooned within the blankets, laying where Ignis normally did with his head pressed down into the pillow.
So nothing more than a soft sound rose up from the jumble of covers at that gentle touch, completely ignoring Ignis' words in favor of the affection.]
[Ignis sighs loudly, positively hating that he has to wake Noctis up because he looks so comfortable like this (dare he say cute...). But he knows there will be a different kind of whining when he sleeps for too long and has a headache later.
So, Ignis' hand leaves the hair and tugs the covers down to Noct's chest.]
Come on. You can do it. Start with opening your eyes.
[Honestly the incentive for him to get up right now - or even really at all - isn't exactly that great. He can eat later, the bagels will (probably) still be there. It isn't like there's a day and night cycle, so he won't exactly be missing out on any day light.
Plus he's really, really comfortable at the moment. Ignis' place in the bed was still warm and had begun to smell like him. So really, there was absolutely no reason to leave it.
Until the man in question pulled the covers down to his chest. That definitely earned a groan and the opening (if you could call it that) of a single eye.]
[Ultimately it's that kiss which catches his attention, a pleased sound rising up from deep within his chest at the contact. Enough so that it has his eyes fluttering open, glancing up at Ignis as he rolls onto his back.]
[Now Ignis laughs and tugs away the covers entirely and reaches for him, pulling a very sleepy and reluctant Noct to sit up. Because the more he remains on his back, the more he will want to sleep.]
Usually, nothing, [Ignis smiles, trying to brush away and get Noct's bed hair to settle,] but I could go for a good morning "thank you" hug right now.
[He'd ask for a, well, something else, but that's pushing boundaries...]
But when the covers were suddenly thrown off and away and he was being unceremoniously drawn up to sit, it was still impossible to completely quell the ungodly sound that left him in the form of a groan. It was too early to be alive, much less awake. He didn't need the sun to tell him that. He could just feel it.
The hand moving through his hair was a pleasant distraction, even if nothing could tame the way his hair decided to stand on any given day.]
A thank you hug, huh? Pretty sure it's supposed to be a thank you kiss, Specs.
[That groan is worthy of an Olympic medal. It's quite impressive, Ignis has to admit. But it's not enough to make him let Noctis lounge around in bed even more.
He pushes his glasses up at Noct's correction. Okay, that's true, it's supposed to be a kiss. But Ignis didn't want to push his luck. Maybe that's why...
Ignis leans in, waiting for a moment to has Noct's complete attention on him, then just barely brushes their lips- one can't even call that a kiss. But Ignis pulls back with a smirk and stands.]
[Apparently this is just what they're doing now. Teasing each other with the idea of something more. Barely brushing up against it before retreating. And he can't even be that upset. Not really. He had started it, after all, those few nights ago when he had been the one to leave Ignis wanting.
But all it manages to bring out now is another groan as he flops backwards, looking up at that stupid smirk with those eyes that he knows Ignis can't possibly resist.]
[Indeed, Noctis had started it. Ignis tends to keep himself reserved when it comes to stuff like this but- Noct tears down the walls he puts up with just being a tad bit closer to him. Accidentally brushes of their hands. The barely-there kisses. And Ignis just can't say no, he cannot resist him.
With a sigh and shake of his head, Ignis goes to pick up the bagels and brings them over to the bed.]
If I see crumbs all over the sheets, you are cleaning.
[Is he supposed to feel this smug over still getting his way even after Ignis had 'punished' him? Because he is feeling incredibly fucking smug right now.
But the sight and smell of those bagels has him sitting up again, taking the basket and carefully cradling it between his bent legs.]
Yes mother. [Oh, but he definitely isn't looking at Ignis like he's his mother right now. Not if the way he's currently curling a finger and motioning for him to come closer.]
[No he's not. But then, it's Noct so he draws little pleasures even from the smallest and unexpected of things. Though, if asked, Ignis will have no answer for you about this situation.]
Mum's the word. [Ignis shakes his head but takes a seat on the bed next to him, one leg underneath him, the other on the floor.]
[Getting Ignis, someone who was always so composed and unwavering in front of anything else to do whatever he wanted was definitely a source of never ending smugness. He had never seen anyone else get away with a fraction of the things he did.]
I didn't thank you.
[Which is why he's shifting, body angling towards where Ignis currently sits. His hand lifts, fingers tracing along the warmth of his cheek, using the gentle touch to draw him in.
Their noses bump and it's so close to what it had been that night in town hall. So close, but this time his lips actually brush over Ignis', slow and soft. Before finally, blessedly, pressing in.
It's so short, barely there, between one heart beat and another his lips are gone and he's pulling away, drawing the fuller bottom between his teeth.]
[Should that one little brush of their lips have left him wanting more? Because he wants so much more.
Enough so that he's moving the basket of bagels, the idea of breakfast completely forgotten. Until he's pushing himself up onto his knees, reaching forward to cup each side of Ignis' face, touch feather light and gentle.]
[Ignis feels like someone threw a blizzara grenade at him because he finds himself unable to move, lips still burning from the previous kiss. His eyes are fixated on Noct's face; as if asking ' do you really want this? there's no going back after'- might as well let his expression ask questions because his throat is completely closed off because of the touch. He doesn't want Noctis to regret this later...]
[Does he really want this? Will there truly be no going back once they've crossed that particular bridge? Is this the one line between beings friends or something more that can only be stepped over in one direction?
Or is he just lonely? Does his heart just want something that he can never, ever have? Something that had been torn from him when he had been so close to it? He had waited so long to get to be with Luna. And then she was just gone.
They both were. Only she had gone to another, better place and he had ended up here. With Ignis.
For a single breathless second it appears that he wavers, glancing down and away as if he's changed his mind, hands falling from Ignis' face down to his shoulders where they grip tight. But it only last for that one brief moment in time, before he's shifting, moving in even closer, lifting a leg and swinging it across Ignis' lap, until he can bring himself to rest upon it. Shifts and settles, those blue eyes locked up his face, the message that it was Ignis' move clearly written in them.]

It's time to get up. I made breakfast and we can have a walk and eat it.
[He made bagels. They are in the basket in the kitchen area.]

You're cruel, Iggy.

You will thank me later when you don't have a headache.
[He leans down to press a firm kiss to Noct's temple, right at the hairline and leans back.]
Also, the bagels are getting cold and Prompto already ate half of the batch.
[He didn't, but it's a 'threat' to get Noct more awake.]

What do I gotta do to get you to bring me one?

Ignis blinks when Noctis finally leans in, pressing their lips together very lightly. It's still a mere light brush, and it makes him smile.]
You are welcome, Noct, [he says when Noctis pulls back. Because there isn't a thing Ignis wouldn't do for him.]
